I'm not fat, although I slouch a lot, unless my step-dad gets work in, and I work with him.
Although I'm definitely lazy, and I'm used to a computer screen being in my face a lot, games, websites, and now Modding this one.
So laziness is definitely most to do with technology. ^-^

"We". "We", as a human race, certainly aren't improving in this aspect. If you look at the big picture-- technology has raised our quality of life significantly. It, also, has raised our average lifespan. Now that we have reached the peak I believe it is safe to say we need to limit ourselves to exposure. If I wasn't on the computer at this very moment, I would probably be sleeping. I would then continue to rise the next morning and work/involve myself in outdoor activities (rather than television). It is all in the matter of will power. Just because their is a Monster Cookie sitting right in front of you, this does not mean you have to consume it. Reason over emotion. :|

It is all a matter of personal choices, really.
A person has the option to go out and the option to go on a video game marathon. (personally, I dont watch that much TV so its just about video games).

If you'd like me to put it this way, so that everyone will understand,
WALL-E.
I believe that makes my views clear on this matter.

medical technology will keep the fatties alive, but it can only go so far. I think we basically need to invent something that keeps our muscles active while we sit on our butt all day staring at a screen.

Why do so? If you run a check, the reason why medical technology isn't using it's treatments for serious issues (eg cancer) is due to overpopulation, which i the worst global problem right now.
So if they can save the earth by not saving te obese, be sure they will.
