you discovered that the meaning of life was that there was no meaning of life. Everything is just some random blip, and all that is here, all that is done, is meaningless.
well?

Carry it on anyway, what can we do? Aha.
However the meaning of life, is time.
-Edited-
My theory on WHY time is the meaning of life:
Birth - Death. What you do is up to you, doesn't really matter, you'll die anyway. So from point A to point B is something we can't stop.
You cannot break, destroy, kill, altar, fast forward, pause, or rewind time. Therefore Time just goes and goes as it pleases.
Even if somehow we were able to make a "Time machine". The dimension you left, with the "Time machine" would still go on. You'd only be creating more dimensions.
Then we have a more detailed path to explain. But in a more simple way to explain it. If you were placed on a stepping stone, and you were given the choice to either get off or stay on it. What would you do? You'd get off it, maybe because you're hungry, cold, bored, whatever. Fact is you'd get off. In my opinion, life is just like that, it is planned to know your exact move. Obviously more detailed than the example I said. Nevertheless, life itself is just a planned experience for us all.
Past, present, future:
Present doesn't exist.
It's okay saying "It does, it's going by... The present is now... Now... Now...". The present isn't now, in order for present to exist, time would need to halt, which it can't.
And if present doesn't exist, neither does the future, since it connects to further events. The only thing that does exist is the past, because what's happened has happened.
There's loads and loads more, but this will just be it for now.

Well...If we were to find out the meaning of life is just a blip and there really is none...Then that would mean we were robots...Because we wouldn't have the ability to choose right from wrong. Left from right.....The ability to choose would become obsolete. Even if we were to find that out...The ability to choose would become a reality because we would be forced to choose to accept that or make your own path. This is my look on it...
I don't know the exact theory but there is a theory where our lives are really being counted down and not looking forward to. So basically like a movie film...You can play it in a projector and all of the little pictures are being cut off from the rest of the film until the movie is over...Then you are finished...It is a hard thing to accept. But, it is still just a theory..

I don't really believe that if anyone told you that your life has no meaning you would change something in it.
After all, you live in the world you knew and that doesn't change.
The sun keeps shining etc.
After all, the most probable thing is indeed that our lives have no real meaning. For the universe that is.
I'd just keep on living trying to disprove the last 2 lyrics of my sig.

life is what we make it. It can have meaning or not, depending on how you perceive things. I treat life as having a purpose and try to live it that way.

The meaning of life, like all things, depends on the individual. For some, it may simply be to live and die. For others it is to enjoy life. Others may believe life is used to prepare for something greater.
There is no one answer.

well?
Even if our presence on Earth is meaningless, but how does that make everything we do, meaningless?
We mean something to those we love, and just because what we do does nothing, considering the whole universe is in topic, doesn't mean we can't have a happy life.
Even though our existence could be considered, "random" or "meaningless" if you bring the whole universe into it, comparing us to it, doesn't mean we ourselves are meaningless. We still mean something to everybody in the world, more specifcally who we love and care about.
We do mean something, just, to the outside world of the universe, is little to nothing.
Though, I'm sure humans will develop technology advanced enough to make us mean something way into the future.

If i found that there was no meaning to life i would try and focus more on happiness and the well being of friends and family than the future and just live for the sake of living, not for accomplishing some goal that now doesn't exist. I would give up on further progression in knowledge and skills and only keep a job to pay for the expenses of living the best life possible. Not for expenses like partying bars and girls.. but for things that make you feel alive like skydiving, flying a plane, bungee jumping, stuff that seldom do n a lifetime but everyone should experience
