How do you deal with bad news or bad times?

where do you find the happiness to overcome the sadness?

Seeing as how I'm a Christian... God always gives me the strength to get through those times.

And of course, music always helps, as do my family and friends. :D

Sarcasm is the best offense, offense is the best defence and that's that,

I deal with the sadness by distracting myself, which often leads to more sadness. Been trying to think about it rationally and take a course of action lately.

Happiness comes from a job well done- instead of moping around or retreating from the problem, I try to resolve it in some small way.

Releasing hormones and chemicals through my eyes, commonly refered to as eye sweating.
It's the easiest way for a human being as the released chemicals are ment to make you feel better.
Music can make it better, but It can also make it worst depending on the situation.

You know, When I'm sad, I hit stuff :P
It makes me happy if it doesn't react.

Live life to the full!

Don't hold back - you only get one shot at life - Enjoy it while you can. Yes there is always bad news, yadda yadda. But there is always something good; you have family, friends and people who care. Embrace the good and ignore/strike the bad down!

Personally it depends on what the bad news is to what I react to it, ussualy ignore it, as there are more important things going on(i.e good things!). Moarning or crying over things solves nothing, so why do it!? Thats not to say you don't take action against said thing or forget about it... It depends on what it is...

For me, I can't really ignore it. Because it's there.
Like my situation with my freaking Ex. He keeps texting me and talking to my friends about me and everything and I just cant ignore it.
I'm not made to do that.
I guess it's different for everyone.

-You double posted btw. Lol.

I focus on the good in life. It eats away at the sadness and wins.

I guess you're all stuck on the bad stuff going on.

It's a good thing to focus on the good stuff.
But obviously you want to solve the problems you face.

80-85% of all your problems are easily solved.
They take a little effort or no effort at all.
Some even pass as they fix themselves.

5-10% have solutions that take a bit of hard work.

another 5-10% are unsolvable, no matter how much effort you put into it.
These you can only accept and move on with.

Of course if you classify a problem (or multiple) into the wrong category that changes lots of things.
This may lead to the "making an elephant out of a musquito" effect.
Where you classify little problems as big ones and put all your energy into that, draining yourself.
Mostly by overanalysing the situation.

In order to solve problems:
- Keep a clear head (emotions do cloud judgement).
- Take breaks away from the problem by doing something fun (this also helps in keeping your mind clear).
- When being stuck, you can use a third party to tell/ask, usually they will give you another angle on the situation.
