The hostile nature of this argument has been quite one sided. As has the illogical arguing. I don't believe Alice can be reasoned with at this point.

I reasoned with Alice on this, in a more private setting.

It all depends on your definition of "natural".

If what is natural is what occurs in nature, you will obviously move towards the point shadow is saying.
If your definition is however that nature foresees into reproduction of a species, then what Alice says is valid.

And in fact, both are correct.
On a basic level, for all animals the basic needs are the same.
Food/shelter/reproduction (or sex).

You may find these basic needs back into psychology.


Do take into consideration that gay couples can have a (primal) desire to have children.
It is in fact not that uncommon for that need to be there.
It is however very difficult for them to fill in that need.

This said:
Both definitions have validity.

Which should conclude the former discussion.

The only reason why David Cameron approved gay marriages was so that he could get more voters for himself.
