Technically no one entity governs it. If the crime is committed in a certain country, then they're tried in that country. Which is why Julian Assange is still kicking and a senator in Australia last I checked.

there's no internet in space,lol
if there was,however... i assume the country which the person originated from would take appropriate action against the criminal

It's a hypothetical question that I just had to ask when you said
"If the crime is committed in a certain country, then they're tried in that country"
because since Space doesn't belong to anyone.

Who controls te internet?: When it first started: programmers. As Ghost said, web hosts.

I really feel like noone can control the internet,
it's a place of freedom.
Noone can ban you from accessing their own sites,
Your governments may ban you from use of the internet if you ever get caught doing cyber crimes but with the amount of vpns and mac spoofers,
You're free to do as you wish.
