Let's not forget the nightmare scenario that's been presented, Ebola going airborne ^_^
Many sources are saying that although highly unlikely (by this they mean it's almost impossible) it's not impossible for it to go Airborne.
It is irresponsible to say that it will go Airborne, but they're saying that the possibility of it becoming airborne is not to be ruled out despite the small chance of it actually happening. Although, the longer this outbreak goes on, the more likely it is to happen o.o

Before this turns into some mass hysteria topic:
To become infected with Ebola, you would need to get some of the ill person’s bodily fluids — blood, semen, vomit, or sputum — into your mouth, nose, or eyes, or into your body via a cut or a needle stick.

Now, unless you are THAT unlucky, it is highly doubtful you get sick, considering the number of diseased is quite low to begin with in modern countries.

The reason you are hearing about an outbreak, is because the virus got out of hand in places that people didn't/couldn't afford to take basic precautions to begin with.

Will Ebola infect many people? Probably

Will it infect anyone that bothers to wash their hands once a day? Doubtful.
Don't forget what happened like 2 years ago with the swine flu and how it was about to be mankind's end days.

Its just that whenever any kind of pandemic/epidemic starts up nowadays, since people aren't properly informed, they get hysteric

To avoid catching Ebola, avoid blood, corpses and bats.

So any vampires, please change your lifestyle.

You guys act like you can catch it by looking at someone. Calm down. Just don't touch someone's body fluids, okay?

EDUCATE YOSELVES

In other words, to avoid being infected:

Don't eat dead bodies infected with Ebola. Can easily be avoided if you check their blood first.
Don't eat or put in your eyes ears or other pores (ahem) infected stool or urine.
Don't eat fruit that have been bitten or chewed by infected animals. Like, if you see a half eaten apple and say "I should totally eat the rest of that", don't.
Have unprotected sex with infected people. Not even if she's on a safe day should you have unprotected sex, dude.
You better not pet that slowly dying eyes bursting with red color animal too.
Don't drink or have a dose of infected blood.
Transfusions get checked, don't worry.

Lastly, if you're a drug (heroin)addict, you'll die loooong before Ebola even starts to concern you
