here's a list of reasons why everyone still needs feminism:

  • insensitive people who make rape jokes
  • people who make sexist jokes*
  • people who use the word "girl" as an insult
  • people who don't recognize that male abuse is a thing**
  • people having to make up excuses because they don't want to have sex
  • people who say it's not okay for boys to cry
  • people who say it's not okay for little kids to play with toys that are commonly associated with the opposite gender.
  • people who think that clothing are given a gender because it is typical for one gender to wear them, ex. suit and ties are commonly worn by men, dresses are commonly worn by females
  • people who say that girls can only have long hair and boys can only have short hair***
  • people who think that breasts are only there for sexual purposes when they're actually there to provide milk newborns.****
  • people who say that a girl is angry because she's on her period*****
*unless the person they're talking to is okay with that sort of thing
**feminism is equality for ALL genders. therefore, males, females, and those between will get equal help and treatment for abuse.
***along those lines, don't determine people's sexuality based on the way they look. just because my hair is short doesn't mean i'm lesbian.
****c'mon, people, cow udders do the same thing. don't freak out if a lady is breastfeeding her baby, it's not like she's going to go to mcdonalds and buy them a big mac.
*****while it's true that hormone levels are out of whack when a girl is on her period and she can be more irritable, it's more likely that she's mad at you because you did something stupid.

there's a whooole lot more i can add to this, but i'll stop for now.
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!

Real quick
If feminism is equality for all genders
Why is it called FEMINism?
cause you know, Masculinism is a thing too. Everyone just calls it misogyny though.

Furthermore, as I've said many times before, you cant change the concepts and ideas of a society overnight.

Additionally, I make fun of everyone equally. So people shouldn't be offended.

If you're going to allow me saying "Hey girl" insult you, you should probably step up your game. like. thats just a thing I say.

Another thing, the average male cries 6 times a year. Just a fact.
Bye bye

the definition of feminism has changed over time since the concept was first started.
cause you know, Masculinism is a thing too. Everyone just calls it misogyny though.
men aren't really as oppressed as women are, so it's sort of pointless. the only thing we might really need masculinism for is making sure men get equal treatment at abuse clinics.

Furthermore, as I've said many times before, you cant change the concepts and ideas of a society overnight.
no shit, sherlock. it's a process and it's going to take time. i never said it would occur over night, all i posted was a list of reasons why i think everyone needs feminism.

Additionally, I make fun of everyone equally. So people shouldn't be offended.
yes but if someone asks you to stop, it's best for you to respect that and not make fun of them. for example, my best friend ever doesn't like cussing, so i try hard not to cuss around her. this shows i have respect for her. meanwhile, her other friends swear like sailors around her even though she doesn't like cussing.

If you're going to allow me saying "Hey girl" insult you, you should probably step up your game. like. that's just a thing I say.
can you elaborate on this please???? who is the you in this statement??

Real quick

Why is it called FEMINism?
if you bothered to pick up and read a history book, then maybe you'd know. Its called feminism because it was a movement demanding for women to feel empowered and righteous and to decide their lives for themselves. As decades went from the 1870's and into the Socialist Revolution, leaders like Lenin, Luxemburg, and Zetkin attempted to mush it into socialism in general and to be simply a movement for all sexes, for it was already established women could do what they wanted in a lot of European nations. and so forth decades passed and societies barely budged, and though socialism fell during the Cold War as a social and political movement, people broke up the general ideas of socialism into seperate principles so that political activists could still fight for socialism without declaring that they are a socialist. that is why gender and sex equality, more specifically feminism has sprouted out. from what i've read, since the 1980's feminism has been pushing for gender nuetral socieites and an empowerment of human sexuality in the concept of, do what you like and fought for the empowerment of identity of, dress how you want because feminism turned into a movement to a society without gender standards. only the past couple of years has this aspect of feminism been really showing, but its been that way or a long time.
cause you know, Masculinism is a thing too. Everyone just calls it misogyny though.
men have never been descriminated as women have, okay. Though the idea of feminism is for gender equality, its important it stays as feminism. You don't call Gay Rights, Human Sexuality Rights now do you? Or even Straight Rights or whatever, even though the Gay Rights Movement has been in a general principle of simply fighting for the absolute empowerment of human sexuality to the degree of individual liberalism when it comes to your choice and your freedom of you loving whoever you want to love. Now, the same idea can be fought for through the name of Human Rights Sexuality or Straight Rights but people like to call it Gay Rights, or sometimes LGBTQ Rights. Stop being so focused on labels and names and just focus on the content of the movement, what the specific social principle is fighting for. That is one of the main things gender equality movements fight for, the abolition of labels and just being you.

Furthermore, as I've said many times before, you cant change the concepts and ideas of a society overnight.
No one is saying that. Thats why we must make posts like this, that is why we must protest, that is why we must educate our peers and our nations' masses so in the future, things can be a little bit brighter and a little bit better. Just because you can't change something overnight doesn't mean you shouldn't bother with it at all. Thats stupid.

Additionally, I make fun of everyone equally. So people shouldn't be offended.

-- According to the German Society of Ophthalmology, which has collated different scientific studies on crying, women cry on average between 30 and 64 times a year, and men cry on average between 6 and 17 times per year.

I'm just bored,so I'll just start an argument here or something.

Feminism should NOT be supporting equality. Here's some examples why:
I could insult a female friend and a male friend, but only the female would be offended while the male would just insult me back.
I could punch a random guy and he would probably punch me back, but doing that to a girl would land me in jail or worse.
I could slam a door in a guy's face, in which case he would most likely try to beat me up. If I did that to a girl, she would hate me for the rest of the year.
I could play a prank on a guy, in which case he'll try to play a prank back on me, but if I do that to a girl she'll probably start crying.

Instead, feminism should be supporting EQUITY instead (which is basically just give peeps what they need but can't get instead of giving everyone the same thing.) An example would be if there were three people- One is stranded in a desert, another is stranded in a jungle cave with a spring, while the last one lives in a mansion. We have 3 loaves of bread and 3 bottles of water.Instead of giving all of them 1 loaf of bread and a bottle of water,we should instead give 1 loaf of bread and all the water to the person stranded in a desert and the rest of the food to the person in a jungle cave as the person in the mansion already has all the food and water he needs.

tl;dr We don't need feminism unless it supports equity.

Note: Statistics show that the average woman works less than the average male, so they get less pay. In this case, the women CAN work as much as the males but choose not to, in which case equity is not needed here. A similar situation would be if a girl wore a skimpy dress to school - she chose to break the dress code, she gets sent home. If a guy was running around without a shirt on at school that'll most likely be breaking the dress code too, in which case he also gets sent home as he himself chose to break it.

Gonna get hate for them but #yolo

Also, I saw a guy get shouted at by two women after he held a door open for them. I'm all for equality and wot-not, but lord I hate when it gets taken too far.
