So, maybe some of you have heard about the resent uproar in Ferguson, Missouri. If not, here's a brief summary.
A police officer, named Darren Wilson, shot an unarmed black teenager, named Michael Brown. Now this incident brought uproar in the community and all around the United States. People were crying and screaming for justice over this, because it was believed race was the cause of this.
So, a grand jury was summoned to see if the prosecutor had enough evidence to indict Darren Wilson with the murder of Michael Brown. The decision, as we've all heard, was that the prosecutor did not have enough evidence.
After the decision came out, Ferguson became a war zone. Riots in the streets, burning buildings, looting, tear gas, shootings, and even burning of the American flag.
So, now for the discussion. How do you feel about the verdict? For in depth, here's a link that summarizes it a little better than I could have. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Michael_Brown

Re: Ferguson, Missouri
Friendly reminder that:
The prosecuting attorney actually supported Darren Wilson
The first grand jury was actually reassigned because a member of the first one talked about how they’d let Darren Wilson go free (still need to find sources for this one, but i've heard people talking about this.)
The Ferguson police chief had no intention of even firing Wilson if he wasn’t indicted
Darren Wilson could've admitted anything but he wouldn't have gone on trial either way because this whole thing was rigged from the beginning.

Re: Ferguson, Missouri
In my opinion, its simple.
People for one reason or another appoint the authority over people's freedom to courts.
If a court decided that it was NOT murder or whatever, then that's that.
Rioting over it is just childish. If you really disagree with the court decision the only thing you can do is whine about it. Or become a judge yourself and hope for a future trial of the same person, why not.
So Michael brown happened to just be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
That's my opinion of the matter, I've stated in the past and state again that even going against my belief, since the majority of people believe that this is the proper way to distribute power to some authorities, then this is as fair as it gets.
Either destroy the authority from its very core, or don't start an uproar about 1/100 cases being unfair.

Re: Ferguson, Missouri
the peeps will not be happy unless the cop is hung drawn and quartered. Lack of evidence is irrelevant - they should have brought the case before the court. Had the teen done exactly the same thing to the cop, he would be in jail now, with far less evidence.
The BUGBLATTER BEAST HAS SPOKEN, ALL HAIL THE BLATTERER!

Re: Ferguson, Missouri
maybe mike brown was in the wrong place at the wrong time, okay
but it doesn't stop the racism? blatant racism?
like yesterday morning on bbc news where hardly any of this American stuff is covered i discovered that a white cop shot twice a 12 year old black boy with a fake gun
apparently he "refused to raise his hands instead reaching for the gun at his waist"
America claims to be home of the brave land of the free or something? but when the black people are so blatantly oppressed how can they be free?
i am white, i will never know this kind of oppression, but what i can recognise is that it is wrong

Re: Ferguson, Missouri
The problem with Ferguson and why they are so mad, its not just about this specific situation, its about the whole history of that area. For a very, very long time, black people have made up around 75% of the population, but the Ferguson establishment(leaders, gov. police, etc) are mainly made up by white people who have been historically known to discriminate the people. A lot of the guys in the Ferguson establishment come from big ol' St. Louis rather than the local community itself.

And? A judge is a judge, and a trial is a trial.
Color plays literally no part. This IS the 21st century and most of Triple K is out.
This case has nothing more to it than an accident.
Edit:
Also, let's not forget. Michael Brown people, the innocent dude that got shot by a cop for no reason at all.

Just saying

do you have proof that that's michael brown???? no. you don't. don't post a picture of a random black dude looking like a thug and say it's michael brown when you don't even KNOW if it's michael brown.
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!
Re: Ferguson, Missouri

No its his evil twin.
Also. It IS confirmed from a shop owner (who's shop got raided by your "friendly" rioters aka brainwashed masses) that he was shoplifted by that very dude. So yeah.
I know you hate the cops and you want to dump everything on them, but the dude apparently WAS a criminal and he DID assault a police officer.
So yeah, shooting him was pretty much under self defence.
Love your views tho "Lol you can't prove it so you lie lalalalalalala I'm a pacifist death to all cops"
