"Just another dead Palestinian! Rest in Power, Ziad Abu Ein. No need to fret, corporate American media – we’re just reporting another dead Palestinian. That’s all. Move along.
As Aljazeera reported Wednesday December 10th, a minister of the Palestinian Authority, by the name of Ziad Abu Ein, has died as a result of being beaten and choked with tear gas, by Israeli security forces on Wednesday in a village near Ramallah, Palestine.
The 55-year-old Palestinian minister died during a protest in the occupied West Bank territory. The protest arose after Ein was attempting to lead a group of Palestinian people to a village in order to plant olive trees, and was approached by IDF soldiers.
Witnesses claim that Ein fell into a coma after having been choked and punched forcefully in the chest, and later died due to the injuries in which he had suffered.
Some reports are speculating that the minister had died of a heart attack; a heart attack induced by being punched, choked, and tear gassed. However, autopsy reports have yet to have been released.

What we can say, however, is that a Palestinian’s death, at the hands of the IDF, is an occurrence that happens far too often, yet goes typically unnoticed by mainstream media. Why is this so? Why do we ignore the Palestinian plight, especially here, in America?
Ultimately, with the police state being so heavily active in the U.S. lately, we must also open our eyes to the police brutality which occurs daily in other parts of the world, as well. They are part of our struggle; we are part of theirs.
From Ferguson to Palestine – it is our duty as citizens of the world to start thinking critically about what is happening at home and abroad. It is essential to stand up and speak out about these injustices. Police brutality is wrong and intolerable, no matter where it occurs, no matter who it happens to."
this makes me sick to my stomach

Re: Palestine Leader Beaten To Death by IDF For Planting Trees
So he died for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Also because he was a Palestine leader.
I doubt the IDF go around and hunt people that want to plant olive trees, don't you agree.
Topic title kinda misleading.
Also yeah I saw what peoples awareness on police brutality did in Ferguson.
Not saying I didn't like it, but can you actually decide you want to live with Chaos and Destruction on most cities?
