Pyschopath attacks on Charlie Hebdo

Postby Dr Frook » 08 Jan 2015, 20:45

I'm sure u guys have all heard about the idiotic attack that has taken place in France where a couple of psychopaths decided it was alright to slaughter the peeps at Charlie Hebdo. What these psychopaths do in the name of so called religion makes me sick. I hope one day they realise these actions do not help their 'cause' and will ultimately lead to their own complete annihilation.

PS, calling these psychopaths 'terrorists' implies they have a cause of sorts they are fighting for. The only cause they are fighting for is their own lunacy, so therefore they do not earn the right to be called terrorists.

I don't see how police were there at the same time as them, yet let them escape? I don't get that. That doesn't seem good enough to me.

Nice way of putting it Frook!
That's something we need to start calling people who do crap like that...
Like the people who have done shootings in schools or malls...
Its pretty sad when we have inside "Psychopaths" who attack their own states/countries.

yeah... sounds strange to me... worries me now about australia, because we have a few IS returns here and the police are keeping a 'close eye' on them... lets just hope our police can stop them from repeating what the french crazies did.

the magazine company had a history of making fun of religion, but in my opinion, they sort of crossed the line when they broke the rules of the religion they were making fun of. in case you don't know, it's a sin in the muslim religion to make any sort of pictures of muhammad ali. the magazine making fun of the muslim religion had a cartoonist draw a picture of him, thus making them angry. i don't think that what they did in response was okay though, and i don't think what the magazine company did was okay either. because the company was going to make fun of muslims, they obviously had to do their research, and therefore they should've known not to draw a picture of muhammad ali. i understand they were merely making fun of their religion, but i think they crossed the line when they completely disrespected it by drawing their leader.

tl;dr both parties are to blame for this incident, both the company and the terrorists.
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!

In my opinion, even though the company has crossed the line a bit by drawing their leader, even after being threatened, its still not a reason for they to kill them like this. The company was simply making a cartoon about it,and cartoons are made to make people laugh as so it was something to be taken light and not serious. The company also joked with other religions and races,so it wasn't a specific attack. Also the police is not to fault because they were shot immediately.

Though, just because someone makes fun of your religion, that doesn't give you the right to murder them.
The Pope and the Christians were made fun of by these same cartoonists and they were made fun of even worse than the Muslims yet did they go in and murder people? No.
People need to stop killing each other over religions.
Like wise, people need to respect each others beliefs and not mock them.

regardless of how insulting it is, it is only a satirical viewpoint. If a religion in the current age cannot accept that others have differing beliefs, then that religion needs to wake up and smell the roses, or better still, time travel back to the dark/medieval ages, where they firmly belong.

There is no justification, in any way, for slaughtering a group of people simply because they do not share your faith. People of religion, need to respect atheists and their beliefs - they do not respect the atheist viewpoint, so why should an atheist respect them? Atheists are forced to hear and see things that are completely insulting to their standpoint all the time - but they dont go on shooting rampages or chop peeps heads off because of it.

I'm not an atheist, just want to give an alternative viewpoint.
