Global warming and how very doomed we are...

I was just reading the other day that things are going to get pretty pear shaped in the next few decades. In a past life, I worked in the global warming area, so this pretty much scared the frook out of me.
They're saying by 2050 an 'extremely hot' summer by todays standards will be viewed as a 'normal' summer; and by 2070 our current extremely hot summer will be a 'cool' summer.
Given that extremely hot summers now are damn hot and horrible to go through... I would hate to see what a hot summer is like in the next 50 years. We're doomed!
Seriously, if summers get much hotter, crops will fail, nothing will grow, and the earth will burn up. Humans need to get their frook together and stop wasting time and money on stupid religious wars - religions will not save them when they are fried to a crisp.
