Being happy...

Postby Dr Frook » 21 Sep 2015, 22:54

Being happy in life seems to be the only purpose we should have in this reality?

Right??

How do you go about being happy when the world around us is often full of doom and gloom?

Deny the fact that life will just end at some point and spend your whole life worrying about some religious Mumbo-Jumbo that makes you think that you don't have to worry about living life with 0 fun at all, since you'll be rewarded. 8/8 would totally fall for it.

Cuz you know, if you have now you'll be boiling in hell for all of eternity.

I've found that first understanding that everything I've ever done, every achievement and mistake, has led me to be the person that I am today. A person that I'm slowly polishing so that I can be proud of him.
And that because of this there's no reason to regret the past.

As for what I do now and do in the future will do what I enjoy the most. Living life to the best of my ability to the way I want to.
Because I think that's the purpose of life. Enjoying ourselves and learning from what time we have on earth until we fade away into the nothing.

Oh so now we are having serious discussions? *Chuckles

I find that the things that make me unhappy isn't what happens with the world. Instead it's my self worth and trying to find my place within the world. It's a weird existence, exceedingly so for the younger people who keep on coming into this world.

I just can't help but be like; "Wow, this one chick has 1005 friends on Facebook, 6000 Followers on Instagram and upwards of 9000 points on Snapchat. But yet, I don't feel that when I look up somebody from League Of Legends with an account in High Challenger. So I'd say that now it's my value as a man that is really being put to the test in modern times and I don't like it much.

It's weird to think, but when I'm forty dating some chick who is twenty imagine the gap of knowledge that'll exist. I don't think such an age gap will exist going forward with children born after 2001 onward but then how can I predict the future?

What I think is happening at the moment with the internet is it's rotting. Nothing of value is being used on here anymore except for the forums that exist. Because in a world where "Community" is being shunted back into a box we build communities with nothing but words typed into an electronic device. Yet I feel more comfortable relaying my thoughts to the anonymous pseudo personalities that inhabit this board then a stranger in real life. Does that mean anything?

I don't even know how to interpret this, especially when gay legit means happy.
