Time travel in the chatbox

Sometimes I see creepy things in the chatbox... it appears people answer something I said virtually the instant I've posted in the chatbox... seems almost impossible that someone could see and reply to something that fast... is there some kind of space time dilation effect happening in the chatbox... making people on the other end see my posts before I've actually sent them?
