David Bowie has moved on to the great gig in the sky. He lost an 18 month battle with cancer at the age of 69, just a few days after releasing his last album, Blackstar. Let's take some time out today to reflect on the legend he leaves behind, because he was a hero for more than a day.

my first memory of Bowie was in the movie Labyrinth, rather than his music. Though I do remember the funky outfits he used to put on in his music vids... sad to hear he died so young
