Give a tl;dw, just to summarise and make up for my disinterest on this subject, of the relevant parts to the topic.

Ok then

a lot of people need to die, otherwise all of the people will live worse off and then die.
Also proven via scientific algorithms.
Edit:
You can already see this happening in the following countries where there exist a LOT more births than deaths:
China
India

Both countries have an elite, and about a billion+ other people living on the verge of death, instead of having say 500 million less people and the other 500 million living in far better conditions

You can act as any dumb person would and simply say thats nonesense, or you can actually watch the video and find out that that is how things will play out, and have been playing out really for the better part of the last century.

You assume that the living conditions of the 500 million people that aren't there would be evenly distributed among the other 500 million people. Zipfs law would almost certainly still take place and the gap between the elite and the now half million would still be proportional to that of each other. Basically what I'm saying is that with Zipfian distribution, the top 20% would receive 80% of the benefits of the 500 million nonexistent people.

Doesnt matter
I woukd argue that you CANT escape zipf's law, and thus we CANT live with so many people.
Better drop it to low population levels soon, or we're screwed

Screwed by what? Overpopulation?
The thing about the human race is that in face of adversity we use our knowledge to create new knowledge that allows us to overcome problems.
And yeah, you can't escape zipf's law, what I'm saying is that reducing the population wouldn't do anything as zipf's law would still be in place. Meaning that the living conditions of the poor compared to the rich would be proportionate to what they are now. There's no point in reducing population or preventing it from growing.
Prevention or reduction would only be a temporary solution to this problem that we see. But there are or will be solutions.

Humanity is able to overcome problems indeed
That is why, in a great many periods, the plague, world wars, aids etc have kept the global pop in check until the technology could catch up.
Its time for the same thing to happen.

What would you say is responsible for this global rise in population, Chris?

Besides high Birth rates, of course.

Basic healthcare in third world countries, where the birth rates are extremely greater than say, in the US

then there we have it, the two rational options are as follows.

Reduce birth rates in LED countries

Or stunt healthcare in those countries so that death rates remain high.

Really, there is only one rational option.

Yes, to reduce healthcare
You cant tell people to not get laid, but you CAN let their children die during childbirth

If we were at a point where our technology was not capable of support us, we would be seeing a major die-off of other humans. The fact that we aren't at that point means that we have yet to reach the current carrying capacity. The carrying capacity will also continue to raise as long as medical and technological advances are made.
There is no need to worry about overpopulation or claim we need to restrict birthing.
