I recently read that Christmas is not actually made to celebrate the birthdate of Jesus Christ and that it was actually a pagan ritual followed by the Romans to honour the saturn
god, this ritual was called Saturnalia and it would go on from 17th - 24th december (on the 25th they would share gifts with each other of idols and other stuff), it was thought that the sun would die during the winter and then rise again from death as it ended by the revolving of the earth in nature, (sounds a bit familiar to the SON that died and ROSE AGAIN) every year these people would have these celebrations to serve their gods (satan in all of them i see), at this time the Roman Catholic Church was born in rome and they saw that they had no celebration of party for their faith or God, since the 25th of december was the day when the gifts were given for the beginning of the Sun-god to rise again, they chose to take this pagan ritual and worship the Son of God. Since the heathen had the 2th of December as the day of the sun-god birthday, the church chose to have their sun-god b'day.

Santa claus = if one word is moved from santa it will become: Satan. and when claus is looked into deeply you could find "Lucas" which is the base word for lucifer.. so..
Santa claus = Satan-lucifer! too well-put together to be a coincidence, eh?

I dont know about all those connections, but the main statement is true I think.

It's no coincidence that Christmas coincides with the winter solstice (shortest day) in the northern hemisphere.

The winter, and the shortest day of the year was really important in pagan calendars. Not least because it was the hardest time of year, hardly any sun, scarce amounts of food, and not to mention the cold. At the solstice pagans of different types would celebrate in hope of rebirth, of things getting better.
When Christian roman armies came over, they found it harder to beat out the pagan religion than they first thought, so they merged the pagan with the christian.

Let's look at some Christmas traditions that could possibly be traced back to pagan roots:

- Christmas Tree (german tradition originally), the fir tree doesn't lose it's leaves, it stays green all year. At a time where all the other trees are bare this would be something special, as it seems the seasons do not affect it.

- Santa Claus, Father Christmas, the old man, could be seen to represent death, the aging year, contrasted with Baby Jesus, or the Babes in the Wood traditional tale. Rebirth, hope for the days getting longer once more.

- decorative lights, Easy enough. Light when there is none. again, rebirth of the sun.

These are just off the top of head, but I think it makes sense.

It's also no coincidence that Easter coincides with Spring and the spring equinox (equal amounts of night and day), the time of planting crops, and birthing livestock, and the all saints day (after halloween) Coincides with the vernal equinox, the time of harvest.
