Mosque Near Ground Zero...Why Is Everyone So Riled Up?

there's a mosque being built near ground zero in manhattan and everyone is freaking out...It seems like everyone either hates the idea of it being there, or they hate the idea of people hating the idea of it being there. Honestly, I don't understand why it's such a big issue. The reason it's being built there is for peace, so why freak out? Doesn't it seem wrong for Americans to hate other Americans just because of their religion, when one of the reasons a lot of people ever came to America was to escape intolerance of religion?

the twin towers were already structully weak in the first place
the support beams had holes in them

the mosque would make the ground concintrated (made holy)
the government cared less about making a memorial
and not just pplz that are from eastern religions died there
