Try Keeping A Memory Journal.
That's What I Used To Do, Write Down All The Good Things In One, & The Bad Things In Another, When The Bad One Is Filled Up, I'd Burn It, & When The Good One Was Filled Up, I'd Save It. :P Makes Things A Bit Easier.

You need the bad memories to avoid doing the same mistakes over and over...
But keeping the good times is essential, and you better learn doing that.

That's what happened to my Littlest Pet Shop xD

And when you don't, you forever remember you NEVER HAD THAT THING.

I hate it when you're anticipating something, and then it happens and it was amazing as you thought it was gonna be. Then the next day you're like 'I CAN'T WAIT TILL oh it already happened...' Then you get depressed. Anyway.. It's kinda like my lyrics memorization talent. I remember the lyrics to almost every song I hear, but sometimes that's not a good thing...

I'm reminded that I should be getting over it.

It is better to remember bad things, but to recollect only good ones.

Remembering the bad times, although unpleasant, can remind us of a lesson. For example, when I grabbed the exhaust pipe of the station wagon, I got burned. Now, I know not to grab the exhaust pipe of cars because I do not want to re-experience that pain I remember.

And then there are those moments where I agree that it would be better to forget. They teach you no practical lesson at all, and only bring sadness. But I can usually make myself forget about them for long periods of time.
