Re: Partially Insane
Your brother is not insane, he is in denial, obviously this person meant a lot to him so he refused the idea that this person is gone, therefore your brother's mind has created a manifestation of the person. He will get over it slowly but don't rush him, slowly help him out of his denial very calmly or the situation can become deadly. Good luck

Re: Partially Insane
Some people get so sad that they are in denial. You have to try to get through to him, during the meeting, that his friend is gone, and that, sadly, he cannot come back. I'm sorry to sound harsh, but he has to get over the denial--For his sake. If this doesn't happen soon, this honestly COULD elevate to a serious mental problem.
Re: Partially Insane
im no professional at diagnosis but, this seems like a form of Schitzophrenia. I do a lot of readin on the way people heads work. If he is seeing and talking to his friend and going to great lengths to prove is friend is there he needs to see a psychiatrist asap.
note my opinion isnt professional and i pray its just some sort of trauma-based dementia or some lower form of psychosis but my above diagnosis is worst case, in which your brother has had the schitzoid tendency his entire life and this event triggered it.
I wish you the best

Re: Partially Insane
I act insane to scare people, but i sometimes find myself being myself and that still scares people into them thinking i'm insane... so i think i will become insane, but not bad insane, good insane!
