That's just because there aren't many male specific items of clothing. Most things that men wear are unisex, they can be worn by either gender.

If most things that men wear are unisex then women shouldn't really face any hate or ignorance or rude comments when they dress like guys. But wait a minute, that does happen!

No it doesn't. At least not in England. Read the post I was responding to.

In America, or at least in my region (New England) women do get significant hate for dressing like boys. And men get significant hate for dressing like girls. I have never really met a "cross-dresser" who has never faced any form of hate or bullying or seclusion for the way they dress.

Though, it is nice to know that it doesn't exist in England. Or if it does its on a small scale.

The two are extremely linked, here are features of rape culture:
    -Boys being congratulated for rape
-Boys being congratulated for being raped
-Girls being told they asked for it
-Girls being told it was inevitable, what they were wearing asked for it

I didn't say they weren't linked?

i didn't say you did, i was correcting you where you said the topic was about feminism

Why do I constantly feel if the whole of Britain is a massive exception to everything even to gender stereotyping?

Because we are. We're an exception to gender stereotyping, racism (mostly), ebola.. We're basically perfect.

So to Alice, I respect and acknowledge all your responses to my responses to your statements and I don't have anything to say to those beause we've both clarified each other, buuuttt

You still haven't been able to prove that a majority of Tumblr will be ignorant and insensitive and hateful to those with a different opinion. I mean, personal experiences of a few people cannot represent over 200 million members of Tumblr. If a British man shot my dog, does that mean all 64 million British people are murderers? If a Russian stole all my valuable possessions, does that mean a 124 million Russians are downright thieves? If a If a Muslim beat me up out of no where on the streets, does that mean all 2.6 billion Muslims are violent jerks?

If a Tumblr user completely dehumanizes, disrespects, and says hurtful things to another Tumblr user for not agreeing with them, does that mean all 200 million Tumblr users are close-minded bombs of hatred ready to burst on anyone who dares lights a fire of conversation?

The answer to all of these is no. I've been on Tumblr for years and I've only seen a couple posts on my dash feed of someone being outright rude and hateful to another for mixed opinions. Unless you have some research saying that the majority of people of Tumblr (who keep in mind are greatly divided by culture, fandoms, geography, amongst other things) will flip out in pure hatred to another person based on a difference of opinion, then your claim is merely a claim.

Ok So..... I agree with Alice based on the fact that A LOT..... and I say A LOT not "most" not "all", but A LOT. of tumblr assholes, do shit like she's explained.
You can't go and disprove a lot of people there are assholes.
You CAN prove that there are a lot, by showing the shit they say/do. and there's shit tons of people who do.

Also on that topic, what tumblr has become nowadays is just a majority of people backing up current pop culture views and anyone disagreeing is pretty much ostracized.
Yeah its generalizing and all, I know you like tumblr and all but its true.
Everyone with an opinion that goes against the majority's is instantly "wrong" just cause the majority says so, and that sucks.
Yeah its democracy I agree. Well, that kind of democracy sucks, big deal.
Btw if I say that on tumblr I'd already be banned for life.
