Yeah... I'll ask a more general question then. In the topic of... aha, harm.

Right guys, should there be laws against drugs and drug taking?

The reason I ask is cause of this; we usually do not want laws to be too strics, right? So if the government wanted to pass a law stopping us from wearing jeans, for example, we would most likely tell them to push off.

So, we might agree that we want laws in place to stop people causing harm to others. Like murder, theft, assault. All that nasty stuff.

The question is, in the case of drug taking, who is being harmed apart from the person involved? If a man or woman knows all the risks involved in taking a drug, and still wants to take it. Should we still stop them taking it?

Is that an easier topic to get your teeth into?

yer this is easier for me to get my mind into !!

well like if they know the risks of it i think we should like try and stop them but like if they wanted to take those risk when it up to you.

this is good because it kinda links to a girl at my workplace she goes off like all the time and leaves us and she goes to the toilet and does lines and than comes back and like saids she has got a nose stud infection or something like that and we have all been told my mole valley and police that there was a line and a bag found in the toliets and even the girl at works knows this but she still takes the risks of goin to the toilet to do a line which in my eyes is stuipd because
1. she is at work
2. she not setting a good example on us youngings
3. she knows the risks that she may get caught

and she actully says to us that if we ever whated drink or drugs just give her a txt and she shall get it for us !!!
You don't judge a book by it cover , so why judge me !!

I'm not who you think i am :P

The laws on drug (ab)use and especially dealing are good.

Many drug users end up in crime. I know it's not for every case, but if you look at the prison population many are there because of their drug addiction.
Which made them go thieving (armed), and in some cases even kill people, as they have a need for money and don't have all control (anger/psychosis).

So as laws are made to protect society and in some cases people from themselves it's my believe that such laws should be or stay.

There are other laws unfortunately that do treat us all like children.
but lets not dwell...
