Chapter 9. The Great Clans. PLEASE READ.

Chapter 9

“The RockClan patrol, come in the camp, and drop the food at the Fresh-Kill pile. Then help us build our walls,” Dawnstar ordered.
Deadfire had dropped his food, and stood right in Dawnstar's face. “We, are not helping you with anything, but giving this food. You'll, have to do your own, on building. We're aren't staying here for a day or two, because you can't defend your own territory,” Deadfire hissed. He walked back, and picked up his prey, and stomped into the clan camp. Mousetail glared at Dawnstar, and also, stomped into the camp. Oakpaw and Snakepaw just followed.
Oakpaw quickly turned his head, to see Dawnstar frowning. I've never seen a leader so mad. Oakpaw ran into the camp quickly, after seeing that Snakepaw just slipped in. When Oakpaw came in, he saw that MoonClan camp was a little bit smaller, and all the dens were placed differently. Oakpaw looked around, to see Snakepaw following Mousetail and Stoneclaw. Oakpaw peered ahead, to see the Fresh-Kill pile.
Oakpaw ran to catch up. He placed the food in his jaws, down on the pile. “I want to leave as soon as possible,” Deadfire growled to the patrol quietly. Then, a yowl ran through the camp. Oakpaw turned, and saw WaterClan cats, pour into the camp. Then, apprentices, and some warriors, darted from their dens, and attacked the cats. “Come on, lets go,” Deadfire hissed. Mousetail looked furious.
“We can't leave MoonClan to perish! They need our help!,” Mousetail meowed, with a stomp of her paw. Deadfire sighed. Then, Dawnstar bursted in the clan, with several warriors. The battle looked a little even, but MoonClan was still loosing. “See! Dawnstar is here, with the rest of her warriors. They’ll be fine,” Deadfire meowed. “No they won't be, and you know it!” Mousetail hissed. Deadfire sighed, and jumped into battle, with Mousetail and Snakepaw following. Oakpaw crept through the battle, avoiding the blood, and claw swipes. Then, he saw a dark blue tom.
Oakpaw pounced on the tom, sinking his claws in his back. Just like in training...
The tom fell back, and crushed Oakpaw. Oakpaw's claws went in deeper, and the tom yelled in pain, but Oakpaw's insides hurt, and he felt pain everywhere. The tom Got up, and shook Oakpaw off. Oakpaw then quickly tackled him, so he wouldn't regain balance. His claws sinked in the tom's belly, and the tom yowled in pain once again.
Oakpaw backed off, and swiped the tom's face. The tom ran away. “Reedmist you coward! Beaten by an apprentice!” Oakpaw swung his head, to see a golden tom with black spots, pinning Flamepaw, about to bite his neck.
Oakpaw realized that he saw Flamepaw at the last Festival. Oakpaw jumped at the golden tom, and sank his teeth in his flank. The golden tom batted his giant paw on Oakpaw, and Oakpaw flung off. Who is this tom? Flamepaw swiped the golden tom's face, and the golden tom uppercut-ted Flamepaw's chin with his claws .
Flamepaw stumbled back, yelling in pain. Oakpaw got up, and got into hunter's crouch. Leopardshine! This tom is Leopardshine! Oakpaw had remembered this tom, at the Festival, talking with Ripplestar. Leopardshine was WaterClan's deputy.
Oakpaw pounced, and his teeth sank in his neck. Leopardshine yowled, and Oakpaw raked his claws on his back. Leopardshine spun around, and fell back, making Oakpaw dizzy, and crushed. Flamepaw jumped in the air, claws unsheathed. As Flamepaw fell, Leopardshine stuck out his claws, and Flamepaw fell right on them. They went in deeper then usual. Blood poured out the wounds, and Flamepaw gurgled, and screamed in pain. Flamepaw's eyes was filled with pain and sadness. Flamepaw kept on screaming, and screaming.
Oakpaw could feel Leopardshine stiffen up. The fighting stopped, and Flamepaw layed motionless, on Leopardshine's claws.
“FLAMEPAW!!!!!” Screamed a creamy she-cat. Oh, StarClan. He's dead! The she-at that had yelled, was Starlingfrost. She ran over, and dragged Flamepaw off. Skysong, had rushed out of the nursery, where WaterClan warriors had tried to get in. The tom's fur was splattered in blood. Leopardshine got up, and Oakpaw wriggled out from underneath.
He looked around, and the whole place was covered in blood. The WaterClan warriors that had try to raid the nursery, had stopped. Skysong looked at Flamepaw, who was still bleeding. “Mother. Is that you?” Flamepaw had whispered. Starlingfrost had wailed, and looked back at her son. “Yes, it's me, Flamepaw. Your going to be just fine. Skysong is going to help you,” Starlingfrost meowed, with tears running down her eyes.
“I'm sorry, Starlingfrost, but, I can't do anything. His wounds are too deep,” Skysong said. Starlingfrost wailed again. “Mom, am I gonna die? I don't want to leave you!” Flamepaw whispered, with fear in his voice. Starlingfrost layed down with her son. Skysong darted in the Medicine Cat's den, and came out with a couple of herbs. The tom rushed to stop the bleeding.
“Don't worry, honey. Everyone dies at one point in their life. It's your time now,” Starlingfrost said, also with fear in her voice. “I can keep him alive for only a couple of hours but that's only it, Starlingfrost,” Skysong said. “I don't wanna die, mom. I want to become a warrior, just like you,” Flamepaw wailed. Starlingfrost started to lick her son. “Flamepaw, shh. It's okay. I'll see you in my dreams, when you go to StarClan. Save your energy.
A Sparkly she-cat came down from the night. Is that Moonstar? “Starlingfrost,” The ghostly figure spoke, “ It's his time. You must let him go.” Starlingfrost yelled “NO!!! Please, don't take my son!!!” Starlingfrost screamed. Flamepaw's eyes, closed, and he stopped breathing. His spirit rose from his body, and lifted in the night sky.
Flamepaw disappeared in the sky, with Moonstar, and the camp went quiet Starlingfrost began to cry harder and harder. She stood up, and screamed at Leopardshine,“ You killed my son!” Leopardshine flinched. The MoonClan cats had started to unsheathe their claws, and drove the WaterClan cats away.
WaterClan was scared, and they ran away. Starlingfrost fell to the ground, and buried her head in her paws, and screamed. Skysong had dragged Flamepaw's body in the clearing, and the clan gathered around to mourn for their lost clan mate. A creamy tom tried to nudge Starlingfrost to her paws. “Starlingfrost, you have to get up!” The tom insisted. “What's the point, Ferrettooth? Our son is dead, because those fox-hearted mouse-brained fools think they rule the forest! We need revenge!” Starlingfrost got to her feet, and swiped at the air.
But the mother soon fell back to the ground, after she saw her son on the ground, dead. She began to cry again. Oakpaw walked over to her, and licked her pelt, to clean her blood. “Starlingfrost, i'm so sorry for your loss. I tried to help him....But just couldn't. If I wasn't quick enough, then Flamepaw wouldn't be dead. Starlingfrost slowly got to her paws, and looked at Oakpaw, tears streaming down from her eyes. Her eyes were full of sadness and hatred.
The she-cat licked Oakpaw's head in gratitude, then meowed, “I don't blame you. I saw you fight with Flamepaw, and I'm grateful you helped him out. But...But...He's still dead.....”Starlingfrost stuttered. She dragged herself to her son's body, and curled up around it, to hold the memories with that she had about her son. Starlingfrost soon fell asleep.
Oakpaw looked at Snakepaw, who looked sad. Deadfire and Mousetail looked astonished. Dawnstar crept out of the crowd, and looked down at the dead apprentice, with sadness in her eyes. “This young cat will never be forgotten, for as long as I'm leader. WaterClan will pay.” The MoonClan leader looked at Firewatcher. “I want you to organize the best fit warriors, and make sure that WaterClan is gone. If you spot even one WaterClan cat, you know what to do,” Dawnstar ordered. Firewatcher dipped his head, and looked around for warriors.
Dawnstar walked over to The RockClan's patrol. She dipped her head. “Thank you for your help. But, Rockstar must be thinking where is warriors are, correct?”
