relationships: how we choose

Postby danny » 18 Feb 2012, 07:36

NOTE: this is just a general observation that i have made. i am not saying that every woman does this, but why, in general, do women choose rude, uncaring, unkind men to be with?

and likewise why do most guys act in such a way and/or choose women who aren't necessarily the nicest either?

are we simply born stupid or is it today's media that is causing this? OR is it just that the presence of mass media on today's scale proliferates such cases?

just food for thought

Easy to answer:
A) Clothing: if a girl walks into a bar trying to get a boyfriend wearing clothes that are explicit (?) then ofcourse she won't get a good relationship.
B) Mainly for guys: you see, most girls that men want to date have to be nice looking. Only a few (almost 0%) of men care first for a woman's feelings and THEN for her appearence.
So men actually go out with girls way prettier than them, which lasts for 2 days max (most likely). Im not saying it doesnt happen vice versa, but the difference is that an ugly girl will understand her position and go for an ugly guy.
An ugly guy though won't do the same. Duh.
C) Age difference. And I am not talking about 10 years of agr difference. (as long as both are adults D: ) I am talking about Hugh Heffner's age difference with all his gfs. THAT is not meant to last.

From all the mushy and psychological stuff I've been exposed to, it may be a desire to "help" the mean brutes. Relationships are founded on the basis of fulfilling the needs or desires of others, and some women may feel that they can help fulfill a (percieved) man's desire to be kind.

Well, it's probably becuase their hoping to change. Like, they date a bad boy, idiotic, disrespectful, and they break up. The girl keeps getting back together with the guy, coz they're hoping they'd change.

it might be an evolutionary thing. Women are drawn to men who have the best chance for survival - which may in many cases include nasty a-holes
