How many times would u have died without modern medicine?

It is something you should think about. It just occurred to me I probably would have died twice or three times since childhood, had I not received hospital care. Just makes you more appreciative of the advancements medicine has made since the stone age

Scarlet fever as a child, staph infection on leg, staph infection in eye (fatal?). So 2-3 times.

If this were the stone age, treatment would probably be 1) Push me in a hole so it doesn't spread 2) Cut it out with a sharp rock 3) Cut it out with a sharp rock.

None of those seem particularly effective.

I probably would have died once..
I had a lot of things combined at once when I was little.. I was vomiting everything I had and even after that I was coughing to where it was like I wanted to throw up my heart.
I eventually got better because of some medicine I was given and the care of my mother..

Suprisingly enough, I've never gotten any serious diseases or illnesses that required medicine to ensure my survival. O.o

I guess I'm just lucky.

Same here... Sister's gone to the hospital/doctor's quite a lot, but it was never really serious... There was one semi-serious one, but just went to the hospital to be safe. Turned out she didn't really *need* to go.

My uncle should be dead though lol.
