yes because a movie depicting a miner who is obsessed about silver and gold during the harsh winter automatically makes those two colors the dominant and obvious colors to represent Christmas. Bravo. Looks like the super markets, malls, government buildings, homes, public and private schools, cafes, libraries, and TV ads who show green and red as the colors of christmas over silver and gold must be wrong. Lets all change to silver and gold now as the prominent colors to represent Christmas and the holiday spirit.

Gold

Gold is the color of the Sun and light - both very important in the dark winter. And both red and gold are the colors of fire that you need to keep you warm.

Gold was also one of the presents brought to the baby Jesus by one of the wise men and traditionally it's the color used to show the star that the wise men followed.

Silver is sometimes used instead of (or with) gold. But gold is a 'warmer' color.
