I mean, would you kill someone that gave you the excuse to start a war, that made billions of dollars for those companies that funded/supported your campaign.

Oh, it's not the torture techniques but more the normal interrogations that provided that information about the whereabouts.

Also, why do you think that the Marine corps would have been a better choice?
This was a highly stealthy and dangerous mission set up for a small elite extraction team in a hostile zone.
Right why the SEAL teams were founded and trained for.

And the ONLY way you would get in was through transportation with helicopters.
Because you are in a non-friendly zone (neutral/hostile).
Road = too slow
parachute = no means of extraction
There is no water nearby, you're in the mainland with flats and mountains.

Whether he is dead, whether there will be pictures (and let me make this clear, I hope there are not for the sake of our own safety, and our own moral values) it was a heck of alot of work that went into it - more than any person could do on their own.

What happened to bin laden is good, justice is done. the important things is that we show respect to the people who risk their lives, and those that have been killed fighting him.

i think that killing Bin Laden was a wste of time. cuz at the time he was hidding, wouldn't there be someone who took over Al'Kida? and now that he's dead? Al "kida is still an active operation, and killing Bin Laddenm just puts another idiot in as Al"kida's leader. i don't rlly care if he's dead. Killing him didn't bring all of our soldiers back home, now did? SO WHY IS EVERYONE CELBRATING, WHEN WE STILL GOT OUR SOLDIERS, RISKING, AND LOOSING THIER LIFES???

I don't want to get too off topic here, but I find it interesting how Obama condemned Bush for supporting water-boarding when water-boarding was what revealed the location of Osama. I think water-boarding is the new prostitution; politicians condemn it in public, but those who do are usually the ones who "partake" in it the most.
