The Holocaust

Postby Gyro_Plasma » 24 Sep 2012, 22:48

Why do we constantly remember the ones who have lost there lives in 9/11 and the titanic when only approximately 3000 people died. I believe this to be a travesty. Many people do not know anything about what really happened in the Holocaust and the horrors many people (to be even more specific 10 million) faced and the challenges they had to overcome not to be part of the genocide of WW2. Many people were mistreated and even abused like animals and still people are not getting the recognition for what actually happened. I would like to hear your opinions on this topic.

Simple. They are trying to "forget" the holocaust.
I think its not even mentioned in English history books anymore, nor is it mentioned in Greek, German, French (i think), Spanish etc.

That's not true at all. You learn about it in 7th grade here, and then again in 10th. They also do go kind of in-depth, but not much. If you want to learn more, you must do it yourselves.
