For all of you who know and don't know, April is our Autism Awareness Month.
Some of you may know what autism is, some may not.
Autism is a type of disorder that is neural development. It is often characterized by impaired social interaction as well as communication.
If you have involved yourself with your own actions that could get you hurt, stereotypy, arranging objects in stacks or lines, etc...You may have autism.
Any young kid can be diagnosed with autism. It was introduced in the 1900's, and still continues to grow.
Our ribbon of Autism Awareness Month's ribbon are puzzle pieces printed all over it that are blue, red, yellow, and light blue.

Re: Autism Awareness Month
I understand Autism very well and I don't hate it or anything, like, I'm a nice guy and, but there's just one thing that bugs me: When Autistic kids use their condition to gain something.
There's this autistic kid in my class who is incredibly smart like all the other kids (honnors class) but he flips out over some things that he should be able to control over it, and the teachers obviously don't give him any sweet treatment so they tell him not in a mean way, but in a serious tone that he shouldn't be acting like this and needs to grow up. And the kid always bites back with, "Well, I have autism so it's hard for me" or, "Well it's not my fault I have Autism, so stop prosecuting me".
It bugs me because he uses it to make people feel sorry for him which is stupid. Yes, Autistic kids should get special treatment when they actually break down or really don't understand and in those times, be given more attention by the nearby adults but when they are aware of their condition very clearly and abuse it, that bugs me.
I've known a lot of autistic kids and I've always been that kid to treat them like any normal person, and most of them like that about me and I'm friends with a good amount. When an autistic kid hangs out with my friends, and we all throw insults at each other, I'm not gonna hesitate on throwing a playful insult at him or her and they like that and they'll think of something to shoot back, whether if it was stupid, mean, or a good one we'll laugh.
Know what I'm saying?
