Palestine and Israel should come under a democratic union (similar to Austria-Hungary [ look at the Gadaffi Plan of Palestine])

truly a sad situation and one that should never happen. It's such a huge mess there, I can see the violence lasting another 50 years without resolution. I blame all the stupidity on westerners interfering with middle eastern countries. Every time it has happened it has been a disaster, and there is no greater disaster than the Israel - Palestine conflict. Demolishing houses will not fix things. Setting up check points will not fix things. Imprisoning an entire race of people will not fix things. Truly sad.

it's more of land rather than religion for there is no theological clashes between Judaism and Islam. According to the Quran, it is a sin to murder or descriminate those of the Holy Religions (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism) for Angel Abraham went to Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad and told them to preach/lead the word of God. In Theology, these religions are often labeled as the Abrahamic Religions and "God" is usually referred to as the Abrahamic God in order to give it a 3rd party view, if that makes sense.

But yeah if you ask Palestinians (there's a lot of online videos of it) their main complaint is land. It's a conflict over who has the right to the land, not over religion. Israelis agree to the same thing too. Hamas does not want to murder all Jews or erase Judaism, they want to eradicate Zionism, which is something completely different and has evolved into something very extreme.

The only people who say it is about religion are westerners. Historically, Muslims and Jews have gotten along incredibly well. Muslim kingdoms often rescued Jews when Europe did their continental genocide of Jews. The Ottoman Caliphate in particular often send their navy and threatened to bomb European Catholic kingdoms every time they caught word of them exterminating Jews. Especially in the 1490s-1520s, some million Jews of Spain escaped to Morocco, Tunisia, the Ottoman Empire and Egypt because the Muslim world was the only place on Earth that tolerated Jews. The reason being is that Jews are regarded as sacred and equal in Islam and this motivated many Islamic nations to open their borders to European Jews. and jews had a rather easy time escaping Europe when the continent had it's phase of wanting to purge minorities, for wealthy Islamic nations, such as the Ottoman Empire wouldn't mind sending money to get Jews on boats to go to the Middle East. a big factor of why so many Jews died in the holocaust was there was no where for them to run this time, because Britain and France dismantled the Ottoman Empire, the Ottomans evolved into a secular state and did not have much wealth, and many other Islamic nations were modernized and secularized and did not have the wealth that they used to have in order to open themselves up. They tried the best they could, but ontop of the Muslim world perishing in international power, Nazi Germany's quick grip on society, and western nations' reluctance to take Jews in or let them travel (some went out of their way to stop them from leaving too) lead to a lot of Jews dying, sadly.

I mean if any religion that has actively hated and discriminated and murdered Jews for being Jews it's the Christians, specifically Catholics. Europe has constantly had their episodes in every century of attempting to kill them all and no episodes has ever happened in the Middle East or the Muslim world in general. Sure, tensions rise now since the 20th century but even now a majority of Muslims and religious Islamic leaders remind followers of the long history of kinship and brotherhood the two religions have had. Thanks to Muslims, Jews still exist.

This conflict is by no means about religion, it is about land. Muslims and Jews have gotten together for more than a thousand years and this conflict will never tear that bond apart for the main participators know who their enemy is and know what it is about.

Well technically it does have the right to do it by all accords, right or not, since no law actually blocks them
