Reviving the RP room
As everyone knows the rp room is DEAD! I mean really does anyone actually go there anymore? So I was thinking of a Clan War since I recently joined the Unown clan. I have some things thought out like what category you choose. First you would choose one of 3 classes Warrior, Assassin, and Mage. Once you choose you will be broken up into smaller categories(Which I haven't completely thought of yet). Some of them might be like Fire mage, ice mage, Sniper, archer, etc. The 3 classes have cretain advantages and disadvantages in stats too. Warriors will have more power, but less speed. Assassins will have more speed, but less defense. Mages will have more Defense, but less power. In every match the person with the most speed will make the first move and each person will have 100HP.Some people might have more than 100HP because every time you level up you will get a stat point that allows you to raise Power,Speed,Defense,or Health. Each time you win you will have a better chance of leveling up, but if you lose your chances will go down(wins and losses are basically like exp points). The max level you can reach is lvl 10. Matches can also only be watched by me or a mod/admon to make sure your being honest with your wins and losses. Please tell me how you like my idea and reply below! We might be able to bring the rp room back to life!

Re: Reviving the RP room
This idea, I'd say is extremely brilliant.
The Archers/Mage/Melee type thing? Pretty nice thinking. It will take time, effort, and stuff. But, this is more of a game type thing, there are some pretty hard RP'ers who do this differently. They create their own characters, backgrounds, stories. Etc. So it could be a problem there. If this was just 'game' based, but in RP form, it'd be a pretty nice thing to do.
Nevertheless, I do think the clan wars are a bit extreme, there'd be arguing, fighting and trouble in other rooms, you know the drill. So personally, I'd cancel the clan wars in any of this. Especially as there's enough trouble as it is.
As I said, nice idea, will need a lot of thought in it, time and energy to do so. Because we don't want to work hard on this project, to bring RP back, and it all go to waste anyway.

If you look up at me you will see a friend.
If you look down at me you will see an enemy.
But if you look me square in the eye you will see a God.

Re: Reviving the RP room
i like the idea, but if this were to happen the speed counter would have to be a set time for each type, which doesnt fit the style of rping that this site is used to or is a good style for a chatroom. it would make more sence for a style like that to be played with a diceroll (which this chat does not have) or tabletop like dnd (because that very closely resembles Dnd)
most chatters even though the room is dead refuse to change the style at all, let alone by that much...
even an organizing of powers while still keeping the same way of attack speed, rp language, and just the same style in general was shunned greatly
i really like the idea but i dont see how that would work in this chatroom :/
EDIT: exp systems wont work properly at all because one strong rpr could fight much weaker ones to get exp, there would need to be someone keeping track of all the levels 24/7 and every new user would have to be redirected to the forum so they could create their character/start their exp AND THEN wait for the person with the EXP topic to update
and the overall heath is just a nono.... you would have to sit their with a calculator and calculate all the defence vs attack and the speed between posts and the total health....
i like the idea of getting rp down to the basics of bows, daggers, and swords but havin a heath and attack system like that is kept fr diceroll baced gameplay (DnD) or a MMPORG
