Archery is an extremely inhumane and unefficient way of hunting.

I would only ever hunt foxes, hares, etc. I would never hunt deer or any larger animal, as they are not PESTS to us.

I don't kill for the sake of enjoyment, I kill for the sake of a humane death for pests.

Figures you'd be the one to say that
I don't hunt for entertainment, as well. I hunt with my dad, but we only hunt for deer, for food of course (even though I won't eat it)

Yes, I would say that as I have been hunting for a long time now and have seen many animals suffer and die in extremely long and gruesome ways due to archery.

Even the experts miss and cause the animals much more suffering.

A bird of prey however can be trained unlike an arrow and due to natural instinct will kill their prey quickly.

Arrows often leave a bad taste, too.

That's worse than hunting and eating them.

you either hunt for pest control or for food.
I shoot targets myself, I don't feel like killing an exotic animal.
If I had to shoot something for food, I probably would, but we domesticated cows, pigs, chickens etc for a reason a few millenia ago.

In any case, I have not really a problem with regulated hunts, to ensure that wildlife has a natural equilibrium. Which is most important.
I do not get the shooting for throphies only.
If you shoot animals to give food to the people or yourself and then keep the throphy, no problem.
But eat what you shoot...unless they're pests.
