Apparently Psy (the guy behind it) is actually making a satirical comment about rich folk in South Korea.
Gangam is a trendy area where rich folk hang out. Apparently it's ground-breaking, because Korea isn't really a country that has much satire.

I thought it was just mentally catchy, then when I found out about it's social commentary I liked it even more.
Plus look how amazingly shot the video is. Shot on a RED EPIC camera as well. Not cheap!
