Would have to agree. After all, think of this: if not for the media, she would be that eccentric person that nobody cares about and that dresses funny...
I partically agree on the media thing that Shad said. She would've just stayed in New York performing at nightclubs, and parks, except, people DID care about her. A couple celebrities, Usher, Jesica Parker and Melanie Fiona knew Gaga when she was in New York, and did listen to her then. So, a lot of people did know about her before she became big.
EDIT: Also, Shad, if it weren't for the media, countless things wouldn't have happened. Most, if not all artists today wouldn't have been found.
Exactly. That is why older bands/artists were better. Because if you wanted to be known in the 60s or 70s (when 1 out of 3 people was in a band (figure of speech, but you get the idea) then you had to be not just great, excellent. Thats why it is so hard to come across another led zeppelin, or another beatles (or another pink floyd
). Thats why i will always prefer that classic rock music to today's. Because these people started on their own, with no support, no flashy musical industries behind them, and still they became renowned. And they still remain that way.
