hello people from Greece. Here's a heads up 4 u. If Greece leaves the Euro, your currency and ALL your savings will be worth nothing. You will have to start again from scratch. My suggestion is to convert any Greek Euros you may have into US dollars. Do it now, there will be NO warning at all when Greece exits the Euro. Once it happens, it will be too late and all will be lost.

that's rubbish frook. Absolute rubbish.
It would cost the other EU member states too much money, so they'll do anything to keep Greece in the Eurozone.

Even when Greece would be out of the Eurozone, it won't be worth nothing.
The old Greek Drachme is still at valued at the original course vs the Euro.
Obviously it would devaluate after the currency is set back the next day.

Then again, if everyone sells those drachmes the situation will only be worse and the entire currency is worth nothing.
But that's the worst of the worst case scenario which is very unlikely to happen.

US dollar, I dont know about that. Getting outta Eurozone's gonna be difficult. Germany wont want that. But I think personally it should come out of Eurozone. Just for a bailout you should not succumb to the personal wishes of the other countries. Better to come out of it and do some privatisation. Sell Stakes in the public sector. And at least this time, don't ignore Asia. Invite China and India for investment, they are not people who live in the jungle. The people wont like the Austerity measures imposed. They are not ready for it. So better think with some original ideas and beyond the lobbyists.
BTW fresh elections in june. Greeks should now think and vote for more favourable option instead of splitting the options. They will be wasting more money now. So better think fast because the panic button was pressed long time back.

Hito, no no no! It is true. If greece gets out of the Euro, not only will it default on all debt and cost europe up to a trillion dollars, but it will also make its own currency worthless.

Neither will everything be sold to china or india.
It isn't a sale out where you can take over.
(considering Greece it's economy there isn't much you can take over anyway )

My suggestion is to convert any Greek Euros you may have into US dollars.

Kinda done that like 2 years ago... You do realise that we would cost a thrillion to the eurozone if we were to leave, right?


Edit: actually read more than the first post. Yeah, nvm the trillion thing.

The point is that once we leave le euro, then people with millions in banks in switzerland (euros ofcourse), might get some euros back here when our new currency will be like 1 euro= 1000 drachme (?), so they'll kinda buy greece.

And you dun wanna buy greece. Youll owe billions.
But then again, youll have natural resources.




A small prophecy: Greece will expand its borders in 2-3 years from now.

Your entire economy is currently based on tourism and a bit of in land agriculture.

If you had natural resources to sell to boost your economy you would've done that a few decades ago.
